Sharing on Operations Center

For Software Partners

John Deere Operations Center is where you will be focusing your development and go-to-market activities. Currently the Operations Center community consists of over 50,000 users. All users have accounts on MyJohnDeere, the portal through which Operations Center can be reached. Users of Operations Center include growers and their trusted advisors (such as agronomists and John Deere Dealers). The Operations Center is where users store and view the data in their organizations and share this data with their partner organizations. Your app's users will access their data from their account.
All Operations Center users belong to an organization. An organization can consist of one or more users. They can represent growers or their trusted advisors, such as agronomists, dealers, etc.
Software partners don't need to have an Operations Center organization since they won't have a direct sharing relationship with their users, but they may want to make one for testing scenarios. You may also have an organization if you are part of a larger trusted advisor company.
For two organizations to share data between them, they must first establish a partnership and request/assign the appropriate permissions for each other. This ensures that all data sharing is secure, and occurs only with explicit permission from the owner of the data.

A trusted advisor may use an app to access their own Operations Center files, as well as files shared with them by a grower. They can also share files with the grower via the app.
